1. Open the VCI Configuration Program

Press Windows key + S and search for:
SDconnect Toolkit
orVCI Configuration Program

Alternatively:
Go toC:\Program Files\SDconnect Toolkit\...
and runToolkit.exe
2. Select Your Device

Under "Connected Devices", your SDconnect number (e.g., 0000) should appear.

If it doesn’t show up: Connect the device via LAN and assign IP manually if needed.
3. Check the Current Firmware Version

Click on the device entry.

It will show the firmware version (e.g., “Firmware: 2.02”).

Compare this to the version found in:
C:\Program Files\SDconnect Toolkit\UpdateData
4. Start the Firmware Update

In the menu, click "Software Update" or "Update".

Choose “Update” – the firmware from the installation folder will be used.

The update takes about 3–5 minutes.

The SDconnect display will show a progress bar.
5. Finalize
-
After completion, the device may show “Update successful”.

A reboot of the device may be required.

Now restart Xentry and test the connection again.
